Japan’s Burger King Introduces Black Burgers
Japan’s Burger King has two new burgers with jet-black buns and black cheese.
Fast food chains in Japan like to give their buns a splash of colour. Last October Burger King introduced a Black Ninja Burger with charcoal-black buns and a huge slab of bacon.
Now, Burger King has taken a step further with two more black meaty giants: the Kuro Diamond and Kuro Pearl. They both look pretty artificial to me, but all fast food look artificial to me. 😉
The Kuro (black) Diamond Burger with bamboo charcoal-infused black buns and BLACK CHEESE comes topped with tomato, lettuce, onions, mayonnaise and Chaliapin sauce and to which Burger King has added squid ink into to turn pitch-black.
The simpler Kuro Pearl Burger looks exactly the same as its Diamond brother, but without all the colourful trappings.
The burgers will be on sale from September 19 for limited time only, retailing for 690 yen (US$6.40) and 480 yen.via rocketnews24
