Photographer Captures Small Models with a Big Imagination
Mexican photographer Felix Hernandez Rodriguez uses small toys to create his amazing photographs. Photography and digital art are giving him the ability to bring alive those scenes that he’ve had inside his mind ever since he was a kid.
The technique he uses is called “focus stacking”, where multiple images taken at different focus distances are combined to give a resulting image with a greater depth of field than any of the individual source images.
To create the desired scenes, he also uses some products like wheat and corn flour for snow and desert, cigarette smoke for atmosphere, water for rain and corn syrup for droplets. For adding effects that are difficult or impossible to do with the camera, he uses Photoshop.
