Painful cake [VIDEO]
Performance of swedish artist Makode Linde — he was part of the “piece,” and can be seen in a video pretending to scream in pain as guests cut into the cake — to portray the horror of female genital mutilation. That’s a practice that is still common in some parts of Africa. Critics aren’t convinced. They’re referring to the work not as a piece of art, but as a “racist cake.”
